Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!

A friend of mine gave me the Manger scene idea. She and her family gets all of their kids together and makes a Manger picture every year. Over the years they have been so wonderful to see. So I decided to start it with our family. I thought it turned out so wonderfully. There is just something amazing about children "acting" out our most precious gift. Cayden had a big job this year and he did a great job! Next year if it works out I would love to have all of my nieces and my nephew in it. DeWayne has three nieces. Get ready Emmy, Ali and Dee. Anyway I just had to share this precious picture. Note the sad little Angel in the background. She was so upset because we sat her on the grass. A big no, no!!! I love it! We hope you all have a beautiful Christmas season, and we wish you all the joys, and love God has for you! Merry Christmas!

FALL!

Today I dropped the boys off with Papa Larson so Gee and I could go paint some pottery. We had a very nice time with a friend of mine and her family at lunch, and at the pottery store. Then I came back to my mom's to pick the boys up. I decided to stay a while and play outside with the boys before we left. The weather was perfect. So I took the boys outside ,my mom has a huge sycamore (I think) tree in her yard. It has huge leaves on it and is probably one of the only trees in FL that makes you feel like there actually is Fall in FL because the leaves fall off. Anyways, we walked outside and Ethan saw all of the leaves on the ground and he said "Mom is it Fall?" He was so excited that Fall had "finally" come! : ) He said "Why aren't there any red leaves?" (His favorite color) We looked for all the colors in the tree, then I decided to rake up the leaves and let them play in the leaf pile. They really enjoyed themselves. I only wish I had my camera!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I am so thankful for all of our family and friends. I am thankful that God has blessed me with wonderful people all around me!!! I am also thankful for the wonderful husband he has given me and my two amazing children. I love you all more than you know!

Today we got to enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner with DeWayne's family. My mom, dad, and brother came also. We had a wonderful time. We always do. It is nice to come home with bellies full and good memories. We had good food, and even received the annual door prize from DeWayne's mom. She passes out tickets and calls numbers and eventually everyone ends up with a prize. (usually a note pad and a pen) : ) Nobody looses at mom's. Today, we never got to the numbers and she eventually just handed out everyone's prize! This year all the girls got a handy tool kit! Thanks MOM! Everything was beautiful.

Last night I got to make apple pies with my boys. (Thanks to Aunt Midge for her recipe) They really enjoyed this project. Ethan did the apple peeler/corer, and Ryan did the testing... Ryan really loved his job of testing. Eventually I just gave him his own cup of sugar to dip the apples into. Lets just say he got his fill!

The pies came out beautifully and were very yummy. It was probably the extra sweetness my two little men added! I enjoyed myself so much watching them enjoy helping out.

Today is my little puppy's birthday!!! Well, he is not a puppy anymore. He turns 8 today! He looks so excited doesn't he? He really is such a good dog. Happy Birthday Ty! (Like he'll ever read this!)

Saturday with the Wiggles

This weekend the boys were invited to go see the Wiggles with two of their friends. They all had a wonderful time. A friend of mine described it so perfectly she said it was "Special", too funny! : ) At least the kids had fun and got to spend time with each other. It was at the Hockey Stadium so we all bundled up.

Sergeant Tom Larson

Last night my dad received a greatly desired, long awaited, unmistakably deserved, long overdue, and much appreciated promotion to Sergeant! I must say he looks very good in GOLD! He has put thousands of hours of hard work into this, and it shows. He deserves this a hundred fold!

I am so proud of you daddy!

Focused...

Ryan, hard at work with his new art set. Since he has been doing so well with potty training, Gee got him a new art set for all his hard work. (Very proud Gee!) He LOVES to draw, color, paint... anything to do with art. You will usually see him carrying around a pad of paper and pencil. If you have a stack of any kind of paper/business cards/greeting cards he will want to see it. It's funny... When I have the boys sign a greeeting card, Ryan cries when I take it away to put it in the envelope. And he is very precise and serious. It is amazing to see a love of his at such a young age. Notice all the art supplies in the back, and of course the blankie close by!

Aquarium

Monday, Ethan and I had the chance to take my Aunt Beth to the Aquarium. We had such a nice, relaxing time. It was nice for Ethan and I to get to do something, just us. Our favorite thing to do is to be with Daddy and Ryan all together, but it is special when we can spend time together too! We got to see a show that we hadn't seen since we got our passes, the Penguins.

Ethan got to sit right up close and the penguins came up to him. He wanted so badly for them to get in his lap so he could hold them. We also got to see the new addition. Ethan was so excited when he saw the circular tank that he saw on a magazine a few days before.

His favorite... the sharks of course! Aunt Beth even bought him a shark tooth excavating kit where you dig for shark teeth. It was a beautiful day too, so we spent some time on the pirate ship outside.

We really enjoyed our time.

Bring The Rain

This is a link to a blog I would love to share with you all.

A friend of mine posted a link on her blog called "Bring The Rain" and a few months ago I read the beginning of the blog. It is unbelievable!!! Get out your tissues if you have time to read the whole story. It is about the family of one of the guys from the group "Selah". A beautiful story, heart renching though! Anyway, his wife writes the blog and she is an awesome writer. This particular link takes you to 7 prayers that you can pray especially over each child every day. (7 X 7) Over anyone for that matter. Scripture is overflowing in power!!!

A few years ago my sister typed out 3 pages worth of scripture with Ethan's name in place of the "he/she". It is powerful! It has helped me overcome many nights of worry and fear. I will always cherish those pages, because it makes the scripture so very personal. (Thank you Steph) ; )

Even through all of the bad things that are on the "horizon" for our country, the fear and worry that Satan tries to plant in our hearts, or the hateful things that the world tries to bring, God gives up power in His word! We have a special and Almighty covering over our children if we believe and pray over our babies and loved ones.

Be encouraged with this site!

Catch Up!!!

I can't believe that I haven't posted anything on my blog in over a week!!! We have been really busy, so I decided I can fill you all in.

10-31-08 We had a Fall Festival at our church. Ethan wanted to dress up like his daddy and was a police officer. Our neighbor gave us the car last year so it really turned out cute. Of course he had to have an "electricity shooter" (taser) and a regular "shooter". "It is just like what daddy has when he is a policeman, Mom". ??? He is right... And Ryan was a black belt. I just put a white shirt and black pants on him with a black belt. He really likes watching Tae Kwon Do, so it fit. They both had a great time. They met up with some of their friends and played, and of course ate lots of candy!!!

Then on Saturday Ethan had his last soccer game for the season and got his first trophy!! He was so excited! I had the opportunity to help coach this season and had fun.

Saturday was also DeWayne's 36th birthday. Happy Birthday!!! We celebrated over dinner with a few friends.

Lots of things going on this last week, but we had a wonderful time!
