Where is Ethan?

We have had such a busy week... I had to work today, so we are all very sleepy, the boys especially. So, I told them it was time to take a rest. Ryan was happy, he was asking for a nap. Ethan doesn't usually nap, so he was upset. I told him to go to his bed and lay down. It was nice and dark in there, I had the humidifier going since they had been coughing. So it was a perfect environment for a nice nap. I went and got a shower, then got my lap top and have been working on it. DeWayne just came home for lunch, came in and said hi, then went to check on the boys. I told him I made Ethan lay down too. He came back in and said where is Ethan? I said supposed to be in his bed. He couldn't find him anywhere. Maybe he is going to the bathroom.

No... Where is he?

We finally found him behind the couches where we keep some blankets and pillows. He made himself a little bed and fell asleep. I'm sure he fought it, but I know he was so tired!

Picture Updates

Saturday afternoon we went to a birthday party of one of Ethan's friends. We all had a great time. They both went down this fun slide they had. Ethan is doing so well swiming. He didn't use his floaties at all. I see another swim team in my future! Ryan enjoyed showing his new "sharkie" off! He is getting better in the water too!

Happy Father's Day!!! We went to breakfast with DeWayne's family on Saturday and out to lunch on Sunday with mine. We had both sets of parents over on Saturday night, and the boys got to have eight sets of eyes seeing each "trick" or "show" they gave! They loved it! I think Gee, Papa Larson, Grandma and Papa Collins enjoyed it too!

Ryan on his inflatable jet ski. The boys have been in the pool so much already this summer. It has been sooo Hot!

At the begining of the month Ethan started a preschool class. One of our friends is his teacher. He has really enjoyed himself. He is working on an Alphabet Book! He has been doing so many fun things and is having fun!

Where have I been?

No, the Collins family has not dropped off the face of the earth. We have been super busy. The last time I posted was almost a month ago!!! SAD!!! Slowing down soon though. I am so thankful for that. A verse that I read to the boys the other night says it all... "May the Lord of hope bring you all joy and peace as you trust in Him" Romans 15:13 We are gearing up for major changes in our schedules, and Ethan starting K-5 in August. We are excited about homeschooling, I have been organizing and getting ready to teach!!! I am so thankful for the opportunity to do it. More updates soon, I promise!!!

Ethan's First Dentist Visit

On Monday I got to take Ethan to his very first Dentist visit! He did so well! He was so brave, and Mommy was so proud! Here are a few pictures from the event!

He got to sit in the "astronaut chair" as daddy calls it, and he got to wear cool sun glasses while he was getting his teeth all shined up!

Ethan got a little toy for not having any cavities, and the dentist gave Mommy an A+ for helping him take such good care of his teeth!

He was very excited about the toy. He was a little bummed because he didn't have any loose teeth. He can't wait to loose one. His cousin Em, who is the same age has already lost 4! And he wants to be just like Em! : )

Great Job Ethan!!!

Mother's Day

Me and my boys on Mother's Day!!! We had such a nice day together. They took me out for BBQ and Peach Cobbler, then we went home for a nap!!! My favorite : )... Then we went out to the little beach near our house and spent an hour or so with my parents. We flew kites and dug in the sand. I really enjoyed just being with my family. I am a blessed mommy!

Grandma wouldn't be very happy about this...

Just thought I'd share a funny story about something Ethan said. I wanted to write it down and thought I could blog it.

Last night the boys got to bed late. Daddy had promised to make brownies with them and he didn't want to go back on his word... Mommy thought they'd be fine to wait till tomorrow. Anyway, they got to bed late and Ethan had a hard time going to sleep for some reason... ;) He kept getting up and had to "tell" us things. When we were just about ready for bed he came in very upset and was showing daddy a boo-boo that he had and explained that he really needed to sleep in the "big bed". Daddy said he could. We bandaged his boo-boo and mommy and Ethan laid down.

Next Ethan said (in a very dramatic way) "If my grandma was here and she saw my boo-boo she would not be very happy about it!". It was so funny, because he was right. He gets lots of hugs and love when Grandma finds out he has a boo-boo. All I could say was "You're right, she wouldn't be very happy". I was laughing on the inside. Of course I had to call Grandma and tell her. It was just so sweet!
